Dinghy Racing

Handicap dinghy racing takes place for all classes of dinghy. Racing takes place in two divisions. Division 1 is generally for dinghies with a PY of 1100 and below, Division 2 is for dinghies with a PY of 1100 and above. However, classes with 6 or more entries will have their own series.   

All dinghy racing takes place under the Portsmouth Yardstick system using the RYA  Portsmouth number list which is current on the first day of the series.  Latest PY list here.

Tuesday Evening Racing

We race dinghies every Tuesday evening throughout the Spring and Summer. 

The racing is split into two series panning from Mid April to June and July to early September.  Start and end dates are shown on the Fixtures page

Races start:

18:45 for Div 1

18:50 for Div 2

All boats must be on the water before the preparatory signal (5 mins before start)

Racing is open to members and non-members, all welcome. Entry is £10 for the series.
